Partners in Distinction: Collaborative Alliance

National Time Service Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences

NATIONAL TIME SERVICE CENTER

The center is the only research institution in China dedicated exclusively and comprehensively to the study and application of time frequency fundamentals. It is responsible for the generation, maintenance, and dissemination of China’s national standard time (Beijing Time). The long- and short-wave time transfer systems constructed and operated by the center are among China’s first significant national scientific and technological infrastructures. Additionally, it has established the only integrated satellite navigation and timing test platform in China, significantly contributing to the development of the country’s national time frequency system and satellite navigation systems.

Crafted in partnership with the National Time Service Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Museum of Time Science, this visionary project explores the captivating realms of time, astronomy, spaceflight, and navigation. Positioned as a flagship endeavor, it aims to democratize science across the Greater Bay Area and serve as a cornerstone of the Belt and Road Time Space Science Hub.

The museum leverages advanced technologies such as AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to provide an immersive and interactive educational experience for visitors.

Through AR, visitors can see digital information overlaid on the physical exhibits, enhancing their understanding of complex concepts.

VR offers virtual tours and simulations, allowing visitors to explore the universe’s time dynamics and the evolution of timekeeping tools in a fully immersive environment.

AI is utilized to personalize the learning experience, offering tailored information and interactive exhibits based on visitors’ interests and queries.

This cutting-edge approach not only explains the origins of time, cosmic time, the development of timekeeping tools, and future applications of time but also makes learning engaging and accessible.
